Credit Fee grids aligned across VantageScore 4.0 and Classic FICO Credit Score models

Loan impactConventionalCreditDeliverySecondary

Applies to: Mortgages sold to Freddie Mac with Settlement Dates on or after October 1, 2026, including those with VantageScore 4.0 or Classic FICO Indicator Scores.

What to review: First review how Mortgages with Settlement Dates on or after October 1, 2026 are allocated to Loan Selling Advisor contracts (contract acceptance date on or after October 1, 2026) so the updated Credit Fees apply regardless of Credit Score model, then note that VantageScore 4.0 Credit Fee grids no longer apply to negotiated provisions in Purchase Documents. Applies to: Loans submitted to Arch MI for mortgage insurance, including those using the VantageScore 4.0 credit score model, which Arch MI now accepts for all its programs.

What to review: First review the mandatory requirement, effective immediately, to indicate the representative credit score model and score used to underwrite and price each transaction; then note that Arch MI accepts VantageScore 4.0 loans for all its programs from operationally ready customers, and that lenders may select the model loan by loan, applied consistently to all borrowers.
